This project was in response to a brief sent out by Burberry to reimagine an unsellable trench coat and redesign it.
In light of their 170th anniversary, I took the Camden Car Coat that I was assigned to and remade it with inspiration of Sir Ernest Shackleton and other explorers that first wore Burberry on their explorations. The hand embroidery throughout the outfit was meant to highlight the craft within the house’s origins, and a means of bringing life into the look.

This look was selected as one of 10 finalists out of 130 applicants for the exhibition. The garment is currently on exhibition in Burberry’s Horseferry House.
